  Apple 放棄 Google Maps 自推 Apple 地圖已經超過兩年，不過時至今日 Apple 地圖的質素依然遠不及 Google 地圖。所以 Apple 一直十分積極強化地圖，誓要追上甚至超越 Google Maps。今天 Apple 又有新行動。 Apple 官方確認剛剛收購了一間公司 “Coherent Navigation”。看看名稱你可能已經猜到，這是一間導航技術公司，專門研發高準確度 GPS 及路面導航。Apple 只說道「Apple 不時會收購較小的科技公司，我們通常不會討論有關目的和計劃。」 多個 Coherent Navigation 的員工已經獲得 Apple 聘請，暫時未知道 Apple 想要的是這公司的人材還是技術。其實 Apple 已經收購多間和地圖技術公司，包括 Locationary, Embark, Hop Stop, WifiSLAM, BroadMap 等等。相信 Apple 地圖將會來一次大型優化，不過能否挑戰 Google Maps 就要拭目以待了。 source NYT
